Starling Miles — frequent flyer for Pax and Crew

Last updated: 2026-05-24

Starling Miles is our unified frequent-flyer program. Pax bookings and crew activity count toward the same account — one career, one balance, one tier.

Two balances, one account:

  • Award Miles are your currency — what you spend (DHD, later cosmetics & award tickets). Grow with every earn, drop when you spend.
  • Status Miles are your tier counter — rolling 12-month activity. Only go up, never reduced by spending, fall out of the window after 12 months.

How you earn (Award + Status in parallel):

  • PIREP accepted: 10 award + 5 status per block minute. A 90-min sector = 900 award / 450 status; a BER–JFK ~ 6,000 / 3,000.
  • Mission completed: mission reward points × 100 (award) — no status gain (missions are bonus goodies, not activity proof).
  • Promotion: 5,000 base + 5,000 per seniority level (100% status — career milestone counts fully toward tier).
  • Pax booking: per fare rules, 50% of that as status.

How you spend Award Miles:

  • DHD crew flights: 500 base + 50 per block minute. The first DHD per month is free — so you never get strand-locked.
Booking window: up to T-15 before departure. After that boarding has closed, no more DHD.
Cancellation: paid miles are refunded in full. Free slot returns if you cancel in the same month (cross-month: slot is gone).
  • Planned later: Pax award tickets, profile cosmetics, type-rating express.

Tier system (rolling 12 months, based on status miles):

  • Starling Teal — entry, 1.0× award multiplier
  • Starling Silver — from 25,000 status, 1.25×
  • Starling Gold — from 75,000 status, 1.5×
  • Starling Captain’s Club — from 200,000 status, 2.0×

The multiplier applies only to award (not status — otherwise higher tiers would run away exponentially). Tier is recalculated on every transaction.

Where to see what:

Heritage Crew does not earn miles — they are not real.
