How is my baggage handled in the sim?

Checked baggage is a physical object in the sim, not just a counter. Every piece runs through the same lifecycle as in the real world:

  1. Allocated — reserved at booking, actually handed over at the check-in counter (bag drop).
  2. Tagged — gets a 10-digit IATA bag tag and is weighed.
  3. Loaded — moves into the aircraft hold (belly hold).
  4. Delivered — at the destination airport.

The weight of every bag feeds into the flight's loadsheet — the crew sees a real baggage manifest in the briefing. On connecting itineraries your bag is through-checked: dropped once, handed back only at the final destination.
